Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 1, 2026

Amazigh Artisan Tours LLC

United States-Based Tour Operator | Morocco Tours

Amazigh Artisan Tours LLC respects the privacy of travelers, prospective travelers and visitors to our website.

This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we may collect, why we use it, when we may share it and the choices available to individuals.

1. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Contact and booking information

  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • country of residence;
  • travel dates;
  • itinerary preferences; and
  • information included in inquiries or booking requests.

Traveler information

When reasonably necessary to arrange travel, we may collect:

  • passport information;
  • nationality;
  • date of birth;
  • emergency contact information;
  • dietary requirements;
  • accessibility requirements; and
  • limited health-related information voluntarily provided where relevant to safely arranging or providing travel services.

We seek to collect only information reasonably necessary for the services being provided.

That last sentence matters. The FTC specifically recommends that businesses avoid collecting or retaining sensitive personal information they don’t actually need.

Payment information

Payments may be handled through third-party financial institutions or payment providers such as Wise or through bank transfer.

We may retain transaction records necessary for accounting, booking and fraud-prevention purposes. We do not intentionally collect or store full payment-card details when those details are processed directly by an independent payment provider.

Website information

Depending on the technologies enabled on our website, we may receive information such as:

  • IP address;
  • device and browser information;
  • pages viewed;
  • referring page;
  • approximate location derived from IP address; and
  • cookie or analytics information.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to inquiries;
  • prepare and manage bookings;
  • arrange accommodations, transportation, guides and activities;
  • communicate regarding an itinerary;
  • process and document payments;
  • accommodate dietary, accessibility or other travel requirements;
  • provide customer service;
  • maintain business and accounting records;
  • protect against fraud or misuse;
  • improve our services and website;
  • comply with applicable legal requirements; and
  • send marketing communications where permitted by applicable law.

3. Sensitive Traveler Information

Passport, health and similar information can be particularly sensitive.

We ask travelers to provide such information only where reasonably necessary for the trip or where the traveler voluntarily provides it to assist us in arranging appropriate services.

Access to sensitive traveler information should be limited to people who reasonably need it to arrange or provide the relevant service.

4. Sharing Information

We may share information reasonably necessary to provide a booked service with:

  • our affiliated Moroccan transportation provider;
  • hotels and riads;
  • camps;
  • guides;
  • activity and workshop providers;
  • restaurants where necessary for dietary arrangements;
  • financial and payment providers;
  • website, email and booking-service providers;
  • professional advisers; and
  • government or regulatory authorities where disclosure is legally required.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

Where suppliers require information to provide a booked service, we disclose only information reasonably necessary for that purpose.

5. International Processing

Amazigh Artisan Tours LLC is based in the United States and provides travel services in Morocco.

Accordingly, traveler information may be processed in the United States and Morocco and may be accessed by suppliers in Morocco that need the information to provide booked services.

Travelers residing in other countries should understand that applicable privacy laws and protections may differ between jurisdictions.

Where applicable law requires specific safeguards for international transfers, we will take reasonable steps to implement the required safeguards.

6. European and Other Privacy Rights

Depending on where a traveler resides and which laws apply, individuals may have rights regarding their personal information, including rights to:

  • request access;
  • request correction;
  • request deletion;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • request portability where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • object to direct marketing.

Requests may be sent to booking@amazighartisantours.com.

We will respond as required by applicable law.

I would remove the current paragraph suggesting CCPA necessarily applies to you. Amazigh Artisan Tours is nowhere near the CCPA’s present revenue/volume thresholds based on the business you’ve described. California’s current threshold includes annual gross revenue of $26.625 million or certain very large personal-data volumes, among other criteria.

That doesn’t mean California customers have no privacy protections; it simply means you shouldn’t claim a statute applies when it probably doesn’t.

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies necessary for website functionality and, where enabled, analytics or marketing.

Visitors can manage cookies through their browser and through any cookie-consent controls made available on our website.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies, those cookies should not be activated until the required consent has been obtained.

8. Marketing

We may send marketing communications to people who have requested them or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Marketing emails will provide a method to unsubscribe.

Withdrawing from marketing communications does not affect booking-related or other necessary transactional communications.

9. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legitimate legal, tax, accounting, contractual and dispute-resolution requirements.

Financial and transaction records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.

Sensitive information such as passport and health-related information should not automatically be kept for seven years. It should be deleted or securely disposed of when no longer reasonably necessary for the travel arrangements or another legitimate legal purpose.

That change follows the FTC’s guidance to keep sensitive information only for as long as there is a legitimate business need.

10. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we handle.

No electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If a security incident occurs, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and respond and will provide legally required notifications where applicable.

11. Children and Minors

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13.

Bookings for travelers under 18 must be made or authorized by a parent or legal guardian.

We may collect information about minor travelers where reasonably necessary to provide travel services, but communications and contractual arrangements should be handled through the responsible adult.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may link to websites or services operated by third parties.

Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage users to review those policies when providing information directly to a third party.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices, technology or legal obligations.

The current version will be posted on our website with its effective date.
